die gedanken fahren riesenrad

Der erste Tag in Fragmenten…. Abheben, landen, umsteigen.. „Haben sie den verlorenen Ausweis wieder gefunden? Nein. Alles Klar!“ ….

And now let’s switch to English… my seats on the flights had Nr. 7, which is my lucky one… After arriving and getting my british phone card, I immediately called Robert, a fellow student, who told me, there might be a room at his house …and that was the moment when everything fell into place….

materializing
Well it still was and I’m typing these lines, sitting in a cosy armchair our living room, listening to a nice radio station from London having a decent cup of tea. My room is probably 1/3 of the size of my room back home, but I don’t give a fuck. It’s near to the University, there are lots of shops, bars, stores - everything you could ask for within walking distance. And a nice, large park area just around the corner I might even be able to walk to University. You can imagine, how lucky I felt, after calling the landlord, which was probably the easiest way of renting a room one could possibly think of. Basically I just said “I want the room” and he said “Ok, go ahead and move in!” The only catch is my nice, German housemate, of course we tend to switch back to German occasionally but we’re trying to stick to English. The adjusting feels so natural, I slept like a baby, even if the mattress is pretty soft …. This morning the sun shone through my window and everything felt sweet. So excited about what lies ahead of me…. Will keep you updated. So everybody: Have a nice week! Lots of Love from Manchester, by the way, if anyone wants my address, just drop me a line…
